The firm
A Kuwaiti firm with a global horizon.
Q8 Capital is the trading name of Kuwait Capital Investment Co. (K.S.C.C.), an investment and advisory firm established in Kuwait in 2008.
Philosophy
Value, identified patiently.
Value rarely announces itself. We look for businesses whose advantages are durable rather than temporary, and we commit to them over a horizon long enough for the advantage to compound.
That is why we concentrate rather than diversify. A small number of situations, understood properly, protects a client better than a wide portfolio held shallowly — and it is the only way to stay useful to a company whose business we actually understand.
We have a record of investing in developing markets, where our experience helps us find opportunities offering consistent returns and solid yields, and we are willing to invest in distressed situations where our involvement can help a company address its problems and unlock the value that was always there.
On occasion we play a catalytic role, bringing new capital into an investment when it is needed — often as anchor investor — in support of creating greater value.
We search regionally and globally for the best opportunities and invest with conviction.
